About Us
The Bledsoe County Republican Party represents the conservative voice of rural Tennessee. We care about every issue that matters to conservatives, and are actively involved in helping forward candidates who care about those issues too.
The phrase, “all politics is local,” carries a lot more weight than one might think. In the Founders’ view of our Constitutional Republic, the ultimate power rests at the most local level possible — the individual citizen. Our Constitution is carefully designed to enumerate powers we voluntarily cede to the government in a descending fashion, starting with the individual and ending with the federal government. That’s right. The real power in our country rests with the individual and then the local and state representatives they elect. Only limited enumerated powers are granted by us to the federal government — even fewer than we grant at the state level.

The Republican Party
Initially united in 1854 by the promise to abolish slavery, the Republican Party has always stood for freedom, prosperity, and opportunity. Today, as those principles come under attack from the far-left, we are engaged in a national effort to fight for our proven agenda, take our message to every American, grow the party, promote election integrity, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot. The principles of the Republican Party recognize the God-given liberties while promoting opportunity for every American.

For Their Future
Most of us grew up in an age where there was a great emphasis on leaving the world a better place for our children and grandchildren. Today, more people are focused on getting as much as they can and quick as they can. It’s the “me” generation, the fruit of social engineering of the 60s, 70s and 80s.
But conservative voices have always been there, tugging us back to the foundations of our country, our constitution, and our civilization. To liberals, that tugging back probably looks boring — but it’s not.
Being conservative is anything but boring, especially at this point in our nation’s history. We are in the fight of our lives, rowing against the rising tide of socialism, huge government overreach, and the agenda of radical liberals who seek to own our children, mind, soul, and body. It is for them, and for the family as the building block of civilization, that we fight.
